BIM'26Biennale de l'Image en MouvementCentre d'Art Contemporain Genève

Founded in 1974, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is a place for exhibition, reflection, and dialogue around contemporary art. A pioneering institution on the Swiss and international scene, it explores the major issues of our time. Over the past fifty years, the Centre has contributed to the discovery of Swiss and international emerging talents, as well as the rediscovery of established figures.

As a space for research and experimentation, the Centre offers an ambitious program, often produced specifically for the occasion, spanning the full range of contemporary practices. Its programme of screenings and encounters, along with the Biennale of Moving Images, are among its highlights. The institution also pays particular attention to educational and socio-artistic projects.

During the renovation of its exhibition spaces (2025–2029), the Centre will take up residence at L’Arcade, located in the heart of Geneva on the ground floor of the Mont-Blanc Centre, just steps from the train station and the iconic Plaza cinema. Open to the city, this venue will host exhibitions in innovative formats and a storefront dedicated to contemporary creation. In parallel, the Centre will continue to develop a rich off-site and online programme in dialogue with Swiss and international institutions.
