What If Water Could Fight Too?

What If Water Could Fight Too? follows Chaddy, a Muay Thai fighter moving between Geneva and Koh Samui, where every movement becomes a dialogue with water. Shot on Super 16mm, the film traces his quiet transformation through ritual gestures, drifting bodies, and fragments of memory. This is not the story of a man learning to fight, but of someone discovering another way to endure. Water ceases to be a backdrop and becomes a silent opponent, a witness, and a refuge. Flowing through landscapes, skin, and breath, it slowly dissolves the boundaries between strength and vulnerability until combat itself gives way to surrender. As a poetic meditation on the body, exile, and resilience, the film asks a simple question: what if water could fight too?
